Maintenance Activities Across the USA

decoration

Our international Field Service Technician has conducted an extensive maintenance tour at three U.S. plants operated by Oxbow: Baton Rouge, Enid and Port Arthur. These visits provided an excellent opportunity to inspect, service, recalibrate, and optimize their Carbon Test Equipment, ensuring that all systems continue to meet the required quality standards and deliver reliable performance.

A key milestone of this tour was achieved at Oxbow Port Arthur, where a new Air Reactivity Coke (RDC-142) was successfully installed. This equipment is designed to measure the air reactivity of calcined coke, a critical parameter for anode production.

As the air reactivity of baked anodes is strongly influenced by the reactivity of the raw materials used in their manufacture, routine monitoring is essential to predict and anticipate potential variations in anode quality.

These maintenance and installation activities reinforce our commitment to helping customers maintain accurate, reliable, and standardized testing procedures across their operations.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Oxbow and the teams at all three plants for their warm welcome, excellent cooperation, and continued support throughout these maintenance activities.
